GROUND RULES FOR STEALING

alright this is getting out of hand there needs to be some ground rules here
people like mikey and heath
are breaking down walls and other things to get to peoples stuff
and mikey especially is TPing into peoples hideouts

there should be some rules here
im fine with stealing being allowed but this is ridiculous

-if you are caught destroying stuff to steal it should be treated as griefing and you should be banned regardless of ur status
-next i think tping to players locations should be allowed ONLY for staff since the donors are abusing it to loot
-no x-ray but for staff only

i get this is survival but it shouldnt be "lets rob all day and night and use our special privileges to screw over the other players"
how are we to build if our rare and good shit keeps getting jacked

and to clarify since some people dont understand what griefing is
its not just dumping lava or dropping tnt or setting fires (those are just popular methods) griefing is the destruction of another persons creation by any means without their consent

This is true ill discuss this with Rage to figure things out about clearing up the rules we want on the server more. Ill also tell him to set up a rules forum or something to post all rules/rule changes that happen.

You got it daemon. and I agree, I wasn't aware that donors had tp permissions... Norris had said he was only giving it to moocow, I'll check up on that.

Personally, I don't think you should be able to steal until there's health, somebody can just walk into your house when your there and you're powerless
I wasn't aware that they broke down peoples things to get inside, maybe Heath was lying?

it is possible he was lying i for one dont trust him (no offense to him) i simply dont trust him because he is still new to the server. i dont trust any new players what so ever.

As for the stealing we know it is annoying and wrong but we cant do anything if ppl are being too stupid leaving their chests/items out in the open or easy to access.

Not only that ppl can blame anyone for stealing whether it be true or not is unknown. So it makes it harder on the admins/mods to decided what to do.

there totally hidden they dig through ur base in search of them even while ur there theyll dig into ur base to find ur hidden chests which is just dumb u hide your chests and they just dig through ur base and find ur chests

the problem is they dig in and around your base and they hardly stop unless they get bored or find the chests then leave and ow whats that ur base has a big annoying tunnel under it and i had glass in my store so u couldnt touch the pumkins unless u griefed but no after that they destroyed my redstone system and they flooded my place even tho they got the pumpkins so ya its just getting out of hand there just breaking stuff to steal stuff which gets really annoying

2nd i didnt use any donator powers
3rd i didnt break 1 houses blocks i only walked in open doors

i have done nothing wrong i havent damaged or abused my powers so leave my name out of this i am a good player i havent broken any rules i have never griefed anything

all the houses i looted were open

i mean shit im not the most saintly of players, ive looted some random chests ive walked across
but i sure as shit dont brag about it nor have i gone scavenging through floors and walls of obvious buildings
or made it a primary source of income to go looting

there simply isnt enough proof and the rules arent clear, also u two are known members
the point of this thread is to establish those rules and consequences

um captainBoB (an admin) had already said he frowned upon it, and said such in front of you

in a sense u just lied and took advantage of their disorganization

but that is the focus of this thread
to create organization and to clearly state what is and what is not allowed

we are only disorganized a bit because at the beginning when Rage had the idea to start is own server and asked me to help along we really weren't prepared for the server to be as popular as it is. ( of course it's not insanely popular but we get a good amount of players).

So all this is new in a way. on the note of stealing yes rage allowed it but there is a point to where it becomes rude and annoying. it makes u seem like an asshole basically.

Its not that I allowed it, its just I can't punish people for it. it can't be proven unless taking someones word; and I refuse to hand out bans or jail time over the he said she said bs.
